That guy's voice seriously grates. Are Rockstar going down a comedy route for this? I know people criticised GTA4 for being too po-faced but this is ridiculous. Will we play a wimp who eventually becomes a tough guy? :D

He was funny in Beverly Hills Cop, and as a horse in Family Guy. But for an entire game, itd get old pretty quick!

He can't be the main guy. He's probably just pulling our leg.

Lord knows how many times I've watched the second video (the vehicle one) since yesterday.

Imagine if the Tumbler (the Batmobile) from the new Batman movies was included in that mod with that level of detail. Oh man all I'd do is recreate the chase scene from Batman Begins. :D

Okay, after returning to the world of Liberty City after the best part of two years and finally completing the main game and The Lost and The Damned, with me now moving on to The Ballad of Gay Tony, I think it is fair to say that for as much as the visuals might lack some of that wow factor after the years(still very impressive tho') Rockstar still highlight that they do a cityscape like no one else out there.

I bought the game and it's two DLC packs on their respective release dates and still find the game world breathtaking a full three years later.

Totally agree with you mate.

I know many people say GTA IV was boring and didn't match up to San Andreas, but (for me) it was the world itself that made the game rather than the silly stuff.

I've been hearing a lot of criticism about GTA4 for the past few years. People saying the fun was sucked out of it by the over-serious script, in that the writers were trying to make a po-faced crime epic rather than live-up to the classic "fun" aspect of previous GTAs.

I thought GTA4 was pretty class in terms of the story it wanted to tell. It was a tale about the myths of the American dream with a bit of car-jacking and casual murder thrown in. The fact that people were disappointed about not being able to fly planes or jump out of them was partially fixed in the expansion packs (well the jumping out of planes at least).

Yet in regards to GTAV, I don't know if I can stomach another open-world, character-driven game held together by an over-arching narrative. There's been quite a few since GTA4 (RDR, LA Noire, Mafia, etc), and honestly its like the novelty has worn off for me anyway.
