Not particularly. Decent but nowhere as good as the previous games

GTA IV is overrated in my opinion. Yes it had its good points but it was nowhere near as fun and engaging as previous GTA titles have been and after a while, it became quite repetitive and boring.

Well i enjoyed it myself. Maybe due to the fact that it was the first GTA game that i really got into and played fully. I did, however, stop playing a while after finishing it. I was told that the older games had more re-playability though. But never got my hands on them.

Yeah, the old games had ridiculous re-playability. I played San Andreas for months after finishing it.

But also the characters in GTA IV were awful. I didn't like Nico or his arsehole cousin which made it real difficult to care much about their fate

I thought they were decent. Immigrants making it in a new country and all that. Very Godfather Part II. My issue with GTA4 was the limited gameplay and awkward controls. What I couldn't get my head around was GTA:SA. Didn't like that at all.

Vice City is where it was at for me! :D Although I must say the bank heist level in GTA4 is possibly my favourite level in any game this generation. It was never-wracking and classy.

I'm with Danny on the characters in IV, just didn't click with them like in the old games for some reason.

GTA4 had some hilarious supporting characters; really unique, fleshed out individuals. From memory there was Brucie the sterioid-taking, iron-pumping joker who wasn't completely sure about his sexuality ( ), there was that reformed gang member who liked to make documentaries but was really a coward, and then the Irish family who were absolutely brilliant. I was always reminded of that line from Goodfellas "Irish hoodlums" whenever the Irish family turned up. 8-)

Best character in GTA IV is Little Jacob :D

Mainly because you had to have subtitles on to understand him!

Yeah that guy (in your spoiler tag) was too emo for my liking. But it was cool when it went down. :D

Have you played the expansion missions yet? I've not. Wondering whether I should get the Episodes From Liberty City disk. I understand it's meant to be a lot more fun than the original mission.

Maybe it's just me but I'd rather they showed us more of the game than this kind of stuff...

I guess that would be the normal reaction to this kind of gta "news".
Nonetheless it all adds up and we love their humor so better than nothing i guess. :D

Edit: Oh and they also have a twitter accout, maybe they choose to hint stuff through it. Who knows.
