New at WENB: The Official Konami PES Feedback Zone

Pro EVO World!

Why Konami wouldn't make official portal something like this, where we could upload and show our goals, feints, actions...
I remember that before was such a portal only for pro evo series, during PES5(6) but it was close

Hello Konami,

To deliver a real next-gen version of PES you should enhance the engine to support a non-stop action football match.
What I mean is that there will be no pauses and black screens during a match. When a ball is out for a throw, don't use a black screen to re-arrange the player positions, but allow the player to press a button to run for the ball fast, or slow (time stretching). If a player takes to much time to pick up the ball and throw in, the ref should give the player a yellow card. Allowing this would be great voor counter-attacks. Now it's impossible, because the players are all back at their regular positions.

The same should be made for cornerkicks. If the ball is out, a player should be able to run to the cornerspot and take a corner quick.

Use for example the right bumpstick to walk. Use the left bumpstick to run. Ballboys should be aside of the pitch and will throw the ball to the player that will take a corner or will throw in.

I hope you understand my wish for PES 2011. If you manage to achieve this, I think you'll truly have the true next-gen football experience.

Regards,

I'm hoping for the following features to be added/removed:

1) I hope ball noises aren't as loud as pes 2009

2) More animations, the passing looks smooth though a few tweaked running animations wouldn't hurt

3) Crowd realism: hopefully you can tell when you're playing an important match or not, champions league finals should have the loudest crowd enough for you to feel the atmosphere.

4) Edit boots should be included it adds a lot to edit mode.

5) More off the ball animations such as seeing players shouting for the ball, players complaining about a bad pass or shot, keepers screaming at their defences to close down a shot etc

Those are probably the main things i'd like added, small things which make a big difference

Firstly I would like to thank Konami for putting such a great effort in PES2010,It now looks like a next gen game and with a few minor tweaks it will soon feel like a next gen game.
Seabass, you have to understand that some people want a realistic football game, where they can watch a match on the television and play a game that mimics that what they have just watched,( which is what i'm feeling after playing pes10 demo )and some people want a game where they can be instantly good at it and covering up there inability to understand football by just simple running fast. THE FACTS A fast person should not be able to automaticaly be shown as the best player on a game or a football match.Although speed is a key attribute in the beautiful game( football ) it is not deadly on it's own,it needs to be mixed with other attributes, for example speed, agility, ball control, anticipation, decisions etc. If it was the case that a fast player is automaticaly great at football then Usain Bolt would be a footballing legend.
SO WHAT DO YOU DO SEABASS

Well it's simple we as human beings look for too many excuses and scape goats. For example we watch our favourite football team and when we lose we moan how the ref was to blame or how the manager needs to be sacked or how the club needs a better chairman, player performances were off etc, notice how we never blame the game of football Itself Thats exactly what us pes fans do to pes and konami !!!
So Seabass you just have to concentrate on making pes as realistic to real life football as possible ( which I think the new speed of the game has done for pes10 ) and understand you will never please everybody that way if we don't like the game your making we can't argue( but some of us will HUMAN NATURE ) we will have to arue with football itself.

HERE IS A LIST OF THINGS I LIKE AND DON'T LIKE.
LIKES
Like the speed of the game ( makes me feel like I have to pass more to gain control of an area rather than just sprint ) This is important because FIFA still makes me want to sprint instead of pass.

Like how the games feel more of a midfield battle
Like the shooting,in terms of holding down on D pad to shoot low( reminds me of Pro 5 )
Like Graphics-simply breath taking, sometimes it makes me think i'm watching sky sports, instead of it being a game.
Like players first controling the ball and the time it takes to control the ball at difficult speeds or heights( again this is shown with individual players attributes in ball control-just like real life-Skertle doesn't control the ball same way or as easy as Messi.
Like the decrease in loading times for the matches.
Like the crossing it feels more real and scary when defending -as it should be-stopping crosses into the box is a tactic which is used in football therefore eliminating 50/50 chances.

DISLIKES
Dislike goalkeepers parrying or punching when theres no reason to, when they can simple catch the ball instead of setting there team in a dangerous position by punching.
Dislike goal keepers soft touching the ball instead of either stretching to put it behind there goal or finger tiping the ball and then jumping on it with their body to shield the ball, this needs to be put in to eliminate soft goals, not completely because it does happen in real football but experienced keepers need to show there dominance and quality and understanding.

IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED IN FUTURE
More animations needed to show players physical battle for possession.
More animations to show strikers like Torres etc fooling their marker to find space ie walking slowly then sharpe turning in another direction.
Handballs need to be put in,it's about time we had them in a game.
Modes such as Multiplayer Master league online or offline.
Animations of players falling to the ground with their head in there hands after missing a clear cut chance on goal.( would be a nice touch )
Option to tackle extreamly hard-bit like diving could recieve a yellow or seriously injure the player.
Animations of players limping when slightly hurt until they can run it off
Subs warming up while they are waiting to come on
Now while I know it can't be done this year, please can we have managers realistic look-a-likes and an option to edit them if we wish ie team, skills, fav formation, appearance, celebrations, comments when signing a player in ML( what they would say when capturing a player, maybe even adding a voice over to be original, hey nothing is impossible, don't doubt try it out ) I would like to have a cut sceen ( abit like FiFa Euro game ) where camera focuses on the managers reaction to scoring, conceding( this can be done by when i score i have an option to display my opponents managers upclose reaction to both me and my opponent this would be great for winding up the opposition and rubing it in for fun)Conceding penalties, red cards, telling substitutes tactical instructions the options are annormous its for Konami to explore.
Better commentary ( ok I know you can't get Andy Grey and John Motsen but how about who ever you get, get them to talk about things that have happened in real life leagues, such as when talking about real madrid perhaps go on to say about his transfer from manchester united even if u have to call it Man RED will add to the atmosphere.
Also broken commentary where the commentaors talk about something but when a goal is scored they quickly CHANGE their VOICE TONE and talk about the goal then back to what they were saying, and maybe adding a few coughs and stutters- just adds to realism and atmosphere.
Real life crowd songs-like Livvvvvverrrrpool,in a swayed voice tone as they sing in Anfield.Maybe the England Anthem God save the queen and 3 lions on a shirt, etc.
Konami you have the graphics so you now need the atmosphere and commentary is a big part it needs to be worked on incredibly hard as hard as you have worked on graphics. You have to Push EA back, they did it to you so you need to do it back and now you have done better graphics than EA don't stop the improvement in other areas.
Finaly talking about graphics Konami you have achieved amazing graphics so far as faces are concerned,so now you need to store those faces you have for players and work on other players faces that you haven't had time for and build them up store them in the database so future pes titles can benefit from every players face being as real as those you already have. The faces you have now are so incredible you can store them for another 5 years of pes without having to make any changes that are drastic or time consuming.

Pes fans should be greatful for the hard work Seabass and Konami staff have put in here and turn their negative comments to helping the game beat the EA beast. Konami can do it.If anyone can Konami Can

^you have a few good points but as for the crowd I remember reading we'll be able to put our own specific chants for certain moments in the game such as a goal being scored.

konami really need to put foot planting in the game to make the movement of the players more smooth, naturally and realistic..so far i'm happy with the demo that i play, but movement of the player while they running or turning that sometimes makes me didn't enjoy to see it..for example player cross from the right side and then the defenders just turn around like michael jackson except their foot didn't move at all..so konami if you implementing this for pes 2011 no doubt it will make the game more smooth and fluid.. :D

more animation to make the game more realism..this is also really important to make the game more new fresh looking..i play the demo still there are many old animation since pes 6,7,8,9 in the game..the cut scenes also the same..

but so far i really enjoy playing the demo and hopefully when the game came out hopefully it will be much better than the demo, especially the response time..but i been told the response time is fixed in the latest code that adam from wenb have,so thank you very much for that..

and konami, seabass and co thank you very much for your hard work for making this game..i see now konami are stepping in to the right direction to once again making a good football game like in the old days..hope konami will continue listening to the fans suggestion and no doubt the fans will always give the best suggestion to improved the game and once again thank you very much.. 8-)

I have played PES 2010 demo (with a friend) and i would like to share my opinion. This is the opinion of a guy who plays and “knows” PES2009 well:

1st game: Something’s different…
2nd game: Exploring 360º…different from fifa with the ball (feels like 16 direccions), but when not with the ball feels the same as fifa (in terms of freedom of movement). I loved the improvements regarding the animations when the player has the ball. This and the 360º makes the pace of game much better. After playing a few games I started to love the player movements with the ball.
3rd game I realized: no goals, almost no shoots at goal…wtf??
4 game: I was thinking: this is not PES 2009…cant run all the time, one two not so easy, chip passes not working, Attacking is hard (AI smarter and more effective)
5 game I started to change the way of playing, and start to notice some details, like the positioning of players, the way that they move (henry always by the line for example), player support, etc…In this game my first goal: great interplay, great cross, diving header – uuuuu Later on: 30 yard shot on the post – wow!!

From that moment, I started messing up with tacticts and men…started to fell in love with the Game…

Some stuff I really enjoyed:
- Pace
- Passing (long pass really helps – OMG)
- Subtle skills and dribling
- Messi is so so great – but the coolest thing is that this is not goals assured…you can go trough and drible 1, 2, 3 defenders like the real messi, but as far as easy goals, they are not there (I think it has a lot to do with the way the AI compensate other players)
- Shooting system offers no doubt – the best in the market
- Tactics impact on the game

Negative note:
- Response time (I know it will get better in the final version)

Conclusion: I have tried fifa2010, and I’ve enjoyed…to me it’s a fifa with a PES flavour. But this PES…this is something else…If you have any doubts try playing with a friend 10 games of fifa and PES. Then think about this: Which game is more likely to recreate the Inter-Barça match? – For me PES no doubt, and I don’t even have to think like this, because bottomline: Which game provided more fun: PES!!

Final note: Konami don’t **** up with the online – this is the factor that will make the difference between a good game and a great game!

Portugal Rules!!

I would like to start by saying that i have been playing PES since the very beginning with titles like goal storm, internation super star soccer deluxe etc. I've always prefered PES to FIFA wich has always been considered as fake.

I love football, i've been playing football actively for pretty much all my life and also on the consoles. I'm a real fan of the sport. Since i've played all the PES titles i've got a good feeling about wich game that's good and wich that isn't.

you could consider me a game-critic at this point seeing my vast experience with football games. There are some versions during the years that are absolute classics, but I must say that PES 5 was the absolute best footie game ever until PES 2010 emerged.

What I and most of us football nerds liked about PES 5, was the smooth control, dribblings, passing, the somewhat slow pace, the precise shooting. Quite simple a wonderful game that we fell in love with. The best thing with PES 5 was the fact that you could play as you wished to play meaning i could incorporate my football filosofi from the real world into the game to my advantage. PES 5 was the only game that could actually satisfy my football cravings.

Since then as we all know, konami lost themselves a little and even more so on the nest gen ps3 with ridicolus games like pes 08 and pes 09 that really shattered my football heart. I remember playing PES with style, fluidity and grace. But on the next gen i almost lost hope, i was devastated.

On the next gen i couldn't keep on playing football anymore, I mean the one man messi shows on pes 08 and 09 frustrated the hell out of me. No logics, no football, just a big joke in every single way. I almost started to envy FIFA for developing more than PES.

The worst part of it was that before PES 09 was released...i was so fed up with 08 and just played PES 5. I was really heartbroken when i saw that PES 09 was pretty much the same crap. I mean i didn't have any problems playing PES 5 but it was just that i expected more from konami and got dissapointed as usual.

Still i was true to PES and tried to give it more chances, but each time i was playing with my mates (pes 09) and perhaps leading with 2-0 for exemple after playing true nice football I would end up losing unfairly, because my opponent would take one player and dribble past every single player in my team incl. the goal keeper and score effortlessly. There i was, trying to catch my breath of exhaustion because i had worked so hard in the match, while my opponent just ran me over without even blinking.

I'm a really good PES player, I mean i could beat anyyyyone on PES 5. But on the next gen, i fell flat and was gunned down. The worst part was that even if i timed my tackles and defended well against the opponent, his players would strangely just run through (through the body itself) the player litterally, making defending into gambling that you couldn''t control yourself.

I'm sooooo GLAD and overjoyed however with PES 2010, I must say! The pace is just wonderful and realistic. The feeling, dribbling is awesome. I like the fact that it is hard to dribble past defenders and that you have to think carefully in order to succed on the pitch (on pes 09 i even lost against my 10 year old cousin because you didn't have to think at all, just run past through everybody, and it's impossible to catch somebody like Messi for exemple).

Finally we true football players that play real good and beutiful can get respect again! PES is about football thinking, beautiful play, don't get me wrong you can play crap and also win. But i mean people that think intelligent when they are playing, making good decisions and being creative should have the upper hand in most of cases. That's a fair game, when the most determined player gets the better results.

I can happily say that I'm in love with the new game and i base that on 15 years of playing football games especially PES. It's just magnificant, i think we should appreciate the positive aspects rather than being negative about small details that don't really matter.

And yes i played FIFA 10 and while the variety of animations are good, they however still don't feel natural, they look fake in some cases. You all know PES 10 is stunning in every single way, the gameplay is magic, pure magic so stop hating and start loving!

PES 2010 is the best football game in the whole world! True football is back! Thanks Konami for this game!!

And a special thanks to the guys at WENB for keeping us all updated with info, pics, videos and much more..Keep up the good work guys!!

HELL YEAHH!!!! despite all bugs and idiotic goalkeepers, the game is beautiful, realistic, natural, when playing with Messi, Torres, Xavi, Ibrahimovich and many others they feel like the real ones. If most of the bugs are fixed and keepers are better at positioning, reacting, and have reflexes the game will be a masterpiece!!! ;)

I have played Pes since Pes 5.

I like Pes because in some ways it captures the sport like no other football game.

what I don't like about it is it has not got all the licences.

Will you please slow the pace down from what it is on the demo.

Thank you

I am playing Pes since pes08. I remember when i first played pes08 after fifa08 (on pc) it was something amazing!!! I couldn't believe how good that gave was... I was realy shocked when other Pes fans didn't liked pes08 :D. Now it has changed... I do understand about pes much, much more than then....

These problems are just in my demo??? :

1. Goalkeepers are just stupid!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lqO7Unzeo8 , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcutlKrJ ... r_embedded. That is so annoying! You just want to end the game and never play again.... I am actually loosing the games, because of that kind of goalkeeping... Pleeeeese fix it!
2. Refereeing.... Just amazing.... It looks like referees are blind or with blindfolds... For example I cut the attacking player with the ball from the back without touching the ball and I get only yellow card. Or you get nothing sometimes when you cut player down, but then you touch the ball....
3. Players are running through each other like that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-9k8N21 ... re=related.

Anyways.... I am not going to post whole Youtube full of some kind of bugs... Just look at them.... Thank you Konami and Seabass. Graphics are amazing. But I think you' ll better fix those bugs because it makes gameplay look so rubish sometimes...

I am playing on my PC.

played quite a lot of games now and:

GOOD:
- menus (best ever);
- graphics (best ever);
- crowd sounds great (need new added chants though);
- slower pace;
- new tricks;
- tactical sliders;
- long high passes;
- ball´s one foot recepcion anymations are great!!

BAD:
- to many BUGS!!!!! ghost bugs, flying balls, etc...
- response times...takes to long...!!
- still no penalties!!
- tricks still a Dpad and left analogue!!!!
- GK are soooo bad!!!!
- through passes are too short!!!
- passes are not going the way u want then to go!!!
- running is ok for me, but the other movements/anymations are completly robotics (players seem to ice hockey some times, seems theyre floatiing; also... before shoting or passing, players allways make more steps than they need!!!!!!!!)!!!
- GK need to passe the ball quickly with hands like in FIFA...to slow!!
- still no managers and subs on the sideline!!
- no more advantage rule SIGN!! why did they remove it?????
- I prefered the POLIGONAL players attributes map, than the actual numbers...

1. A new collision engine because it seems that too many time that we see clipping issues for pes 2011 along with footplanting.

2. A Create your own difficulty and add 'Superstar' to the current difficulties.

3. Referee's are more closer to the action with headsets as well as referees behind the goals and ballboys/girls.

4.360 passing if possible?

5. More crowd atmosphere and cinematic cutscenes i.e players on low morale in master league arguing with each other and talking with each other saying 'leave the ball'. Latly, an actual annoucements ie ''no9 etoo replaced by messi.''

6. Total overhaul for goalkeepers harder less glitchy goalkeepers and diffferent types of nets with differents colours as well as boot editors.

7. Master league pre and post match interviews and a board that gives you money.

8. Dynamic weather (don't really mind to be honest) sunlight will move over the pitch.

9. commentators less criticising and more focussing on the match along with comments of the two interacting and talking on individual players.

10. Lastly, better animations imparticular running.

I agree that issues such as dodgy goalkeepers, players taking too many touches before passing/shooting (so frustrating when you're in the six-yard box and you just want to poke the ball into the goal) and slightly floaty long balls need to be fixed. However...

One issue I haven't seen discussed is that throw-ins, despite the invisible defensive barrier being removed, are still (after all these years) very poor. Specifically, the thrower is usually only given one team mate to pass to and that chap just stands there. The throw in should be to the advantage of the team taking the throw but it's too easy for the defending team to press and nullify that advantage. If anything, the removal of the invisible barrier has made it even easier for the defending team as, unless the throw is taken immediately, a defender can stand in front of the guy receiving the throw-in.

I've only played the European demo so perhaps this has already been fixed - I'd hope so as in its current clunky form it really breaks the atmosphere and reminds you that you're playing a video game.

In brief, things the need to be changed:
- Goalkeepers parrying or punching when theres no reason to. Generally, they are look awkward as if you took field player and put him to be a goalkeeper that behaving like an unconfident goalkeeper.
- The animations are the same when you score and after a foul.
- The reaction time between the button pressing and the player response is pretty big and that's annoying because the goalkeeper grasps the ball before my player release the ball.
- The crowd has too many colors that are not related to the colors of the teams that are playing.

been playing ISS/Pro Evo since the playstation one days

have hammered the pes2010 demo, my main gripe is goalkeepers who in my opinion are a massive influence on the game.

pretty much every shot at my goal ends with the keeper fumbling the ball, animations are pretty awful and haven't been given the time and attention to detail it deserves.

also another gripe is the ball, it seems to be on rails the more i play....the ball doesn't bobble along the ground...needs to be more varied

love the graphics, amazing.....player models look great.....stadiums/pitches are ok......still think i'll play PES2010 with night setting...don't think konami have nailed daytime settings just yet

running animations are still a little dodgy, improved over pes2009 but still something just isn't right......hard to put my finger on

i like the speed of pes2010, just hoping the final release with all my above gripes are fixed or maybe just a little

pes2010 is a massive improvement on pes2009 which was pretty unplayable.....had no longetivity to it

just hope konami do actually read this thread and give the fans what they really crave.......a great footie game again
