Feedback for PES 2010

A member from my forum received his retail-version during an insidegamer-meeting.
He reported the following bugs:

- When playing 2 vs 2 off-line, player two can NOT save or load his formation

- When making a formation, also with changes of his sliders, cards, assigned button-strategies and edited positions, he can only save the formations. Alle the other things should be setted up again in a next match.
It is not clear if this also occurs on-line, as he cannot play on-line yet.

I think i would be wise to talk about glitches and bugs when the retail version is out.
I dont want to discredit the member of your forum but i prefer infos from first hand.

Also to add there are several kit bugs in the game which I have compiled a list of but will post them when this section gets rebooted. Lets just say loads of generic grey keeper kits for a lot of teams especially in Ligue 1 and a number out of date.

Wonder if Konami will release a kit patch/DLC like they did for PES2009?

today i bought the pc version of the game and it's much better than demo
but i have a weird problem, the commentator's sound and chants are loud and the stadium atmosphere sound is too low even the ball sound that is annoying for many of you is too low that can't be heard i updated my sound card driver but it didn't help, i tested both surround sound and Stereo but there were no difference
i hate the game without it's atmosphere
Can anybody help?

ALL THE BELLOW ARE PC RELATED:

Saving the formation... Does not save the players, Does not save the AUTO settings you have made (eg auto counter attack, pressure, all out attack etc), Does not save the "cards" or whatever they are called for each player... so i have to do them again EVERY GAME I PLAY!!

^^ Now PES 2010 is all about strategy, tactics and formations... if my players arnt loaded everytime i copy my saved formation, it really is annoying to go through them again and change there positions and everything...

KONAMI you have made the PERFECT GAME!!! I love this game!! HUGE improvement over 2008 and 2009... To me, i'm even starting to like it more than PES 5 and 6 as I play it more and more... loving it... just please fix your menu!! you made the game perfect, yet this little problem with the formations is extremely frustrating... it's as if you went backwards from 2009 ONLY regarding the (SAVE Formation/Load Formation) features...

These problems persisted even when I got my hands on the FINAL CODE (PC)... ALSO something that should be fixed... Player 2 cannot LOAD or SAVE formations, as player 1 has to do them for him/her after he copies his formation down to the "folders" which for some reason now consist of only 3 teams or 3 formations... if it's possible extend this back to 5, or even make it MORE! make it 10... how does it affect you?! why 3???! why NOT more??!

Exactly.
I really hope Konami considers to patch small glitches and bugs rather then pointing to next years version.
Bugs and glitches really suck, but what sucks even more is not patching them.

Also regarding SOUND:

When I set surround sound from the GAME Setting... and put it on 5.1 from X-Fi Control Panel setting, the commentator cannot be HEARD?? i have to set it to 4.1 surround sound so that I can hear the commentator and yes HIS VOLUME IS TOO LOW compared to the background noises and everything else... while the commentator should be the loudest thing... even after using the sliders in the game... when i make a subtitution the guy on the MIC in the staduim screams from the top of his lungs to wake up every1 at HOME!... because i left commentator on highest volume and put everything else on LOW! i assumed the guy that screams in the staduim is part of the background... turns out he is 8 times louder than the commentator... scared the **** out of me the first time i made a subtitution... LOL!! Please FIX these issues within the first PATCH... and please release it soon... or wait for a week or two after the official release of the game to recieve more feedback and trying and fix these MAJOR issues... I honestly thought the fact that when i save (COPY) my formation all these problems happen would be fixed by the time the final version is released... it was extremely frustrating to do my formation and wait for my brothers to do theres everytime we play the a NEW GAME with the DEMO... and by NEW GAME i dont mean going out of the game, i mean just PLAY ANOTHER MATCH... or PLAY WITH THE SAME TEAMS... but the problem remained when the FINAL version was released.... FIX FIX KONAMI please

PS3 Bugs in retail version:

Lofted through balls are too often overhit to be of any use most of the time.

Goalkeepers are shockingly bad, so much that it can ruin games when a shot it hit straight at the keeper from over 30 yards and it goes over his head.

Computer AI has no concept of aggregate scoring, in CL game I won 3-0 in first leg, 2nd leg opposition was winning 1-0, their auto strategy slider moved to defensive, I passed the ball back to my keeper with 20 mins to go, none of their players would close him down so the clock ran out and I won 3-1 to qualify for the semi's

Online not gone live as of 21/10/09 in the UK, says my disk is incompatible, am hoping this is just cause its not live yet!

Transfers not fully updated, Barry Ferguson still at Rangers and not Birmingham amongst others.

And last but not least.....no Newcastle United!! not even in the Other teams section! gutted! In the championship and still get 45000+ fans for home games, surely we could've sneaked in somewhere a la Juve when they got relegated

Looks like Konami have made several errors with a number of kits for licenced teams in the game, here's some I've noted:_

National Teams
Northern Ireland - very old keeper kit (from 2006!), current one is sky blue version of Rep. Ireland's keeper kit
Turkey - away kit is now all white with red collar (turquoise kit got replaced)

French Ligue 1
Auxerre - missing sponsor logos
Boulogne - missing sponsor logos, keeper kit is typical Konami cop-out (plain grey with logos)
Grenoble - missing sponsor logos, plain grey keeper kit
Le Mans - plain grey keeper kit
Lens - plain grey keeper kit
Lorient - plain grey keeper kit
Lyon - plain grey keeper kit
Marseille - plain grey keeper kit
Montpellier - plain grey keeper kit
Monaco - plain grey keeper kit
Nancy - totally incorrect kits - no trimmings at all, just plain shirts with logos applied to them, and plain grey keeper kit
Nice - missing sponsor logos, plain grey keeper kit
Rennes - plain grey keeper kit
Sochaux - plain grey keeper kit
Valenciennes - away kit has incorrect colours, should be white with blue collars and trim

Over half the teams in Ligue 1 have totally plain keeper kits with the badge and sponsor logos on them, even Lyon and Marseille!!

Italian Serie A
Palermo - outdated keeper kit (it is from 2 seasons ago)
Parma - missing sponsor logos
Udinese - missing sponsor logos, keeper kit is from last season (I'm sure they have a new one)

Dutch Eredivisie
ADO - home kit design is inaccurate, away kit Hummel trim missing and green stripe is far too narrow
Willem II - outdated keeper kit (it is from 2 seasons ago)

Spanish La Liga
Mallorca - home kit is from last season
Racing Santander - plain grey keeper kit
Sevilla - not sure if the red/white quarter is an away kit or third but causes a bad kit clash anyway
Valladolid - purple colour is way too dark, should be like mauve/lilac shade

Other Teams
AIK - outdated keeper kit (it is from last season)
Anderlecht - away kit should be black with purple stripes on the front, not dark grey
Basel - outdated keeper kit (it is from last season)
Celtic - outdated keeper kit (it is from last season), sponsor logo missing (though was missing from PES2009)
FC Copenhagen - missing sponsor logo (Liverpool has Carlsberg logo, howcome Copenhagen doesn't?)
Dinamo Zagreb - home kit in the game is the Euro version, should be royal blue not navy
Dynamo Kiev - outdated keeper kit (it is from last season)
Fenerbahçe - away kit stripes don't go all the away up the back, home kit has bottom navy stripes missing
Galatasaray - outdated keeper kit (at least 3 seasons old!)
HJK - missing sponsor logos (but they do seem to change them a lot!)
Panathinaikos - outdated keeper kit (it is from last season with 100 year logo!)
Porto - Champions League kits has secondary sponsorship, banned under UEFA rules! Keeper kit is also outdated
Red Star Belgrade - away and keeper kits outdated
Sivasspor - keeper kit doesn't seem to exist!
Slavia Prague - plain grey keeper kit (again), sponsor logo badly distorted
Wisla Kraków - away kit should have blue shorts & socks, plain grey keeper kit

Obviously the lack of a second keeper kit causes lots of clashing problems, a couple of teams like Roda and Olympiakos have keeper kits and away kits in identical colours. Most of the Champions League teams don't have the kits for use in the competition (Porto's even has secondary sponsor logos on the back and sleeves), and as mentioned previously most of the French teams have plain grey keeper kits, despite the fact the Ligue 1 season started over a month before La Liga and Serie A did, so it wasn't a case of the kits had not been revealed at the time of the game going gold. Possibly substandard research to me.

Are Konami going to release a kit update patch soon, like they did for PES2009? Because they damn well need to fix a lot of kits, especially the French league with half a dozen plain grey keeper kits!

Glad I'm not the only one annoyed by this, if you asked the guys in PES PC patching community they could make the correct kits in no time at all why can't KONAMI. A fix is needed regarding the lack of a second keeper kit.

Monitor Dell2209WA 22' (2 days ago i was with samsung p2350 23' - same problems)
settings: use frame skipping and v-sync on, LB is ticked.

I noticed that if i'm playing on resolutions that is 16:9 like - 1280*720\1360*768\1680*1050 , resolutions that aotumaticly will be ticked for 16:9 will have better view on the game (for 16:9 screens offcurse) but the game is slow in a compare to all 4:3 resolutions, it's work smooth, no stucks, but for sure the game speed is slower.. 4:3 resoltions for my screen and for most users, are not very comfortable, but the game is running faster, the movements of the players is faster, and it's just better.
i hope that there is a solution for this problem.

The option for another player to move the joypad across (on the Player Settings screen) to play as the opposition CPU team during offline multiplayer cups and tournaments has been removed from the PS3 versions of PES. I cannot understand why. The way me and my mates always played PES was we'd get together, set up a tournament or league, pick our teams, and play against each other as the opposition CPU team when it was a mates match. It's a great social buzz trying to scupper your mate with teams you normally never play as, it's a lot more fun than having to watch someone play against the CPU for 15 minutes before someone elses game. This option was always on PES until PES 2008 on next gen consoles ( it was still available on PS2 versions of PES 2008 and 2009) ( and FIFA 10), now for some bizarre reason it's been disabled. For those of us who play PES like that it's a big problem. Please PES developers, sort this out with a patch, it's such a simple little thing thats wrecking the game for us

Referees are absolutely broken, don't give obvious frees, yellow cards or red cards. My only real complaint with the game so far.

I’ve bought and played PES every since 2002 and every year there are changes, but every year the same things are over looked. They are only minor but these little things make PES feel old. Although I think PES2010 is great there are no real surprises – expect ML which I am yet to play.

1. Give us some more sound options – 5.1, DTS, let us adjust the ball volume and crowd volume separately
2. When I pause the game to make a transfer – let the crown noise continue – it keeps the ‘atmosphere going’ – I hate the dead silence.
3. Change the loading stars to something different - just give us a spinning ball or something
4. You need to simplify the data management screens – the copy data, save data, load data are looking very tired and in most cases this could be set to auto load and save if each formation is a separate file for each team instead of a chunk of 8.
5. Bring back the slider bar for response time for auto selecting players
6. Update the frame rate – on pitch gameplay is fine but up close you can see that its only 30fps if not less
7. Let me choose the weather for ALL matches
8. Get someone else to do your menus – they are getting worse!
9. Lastly, let me play my mates ML team online with updated stats. Fair enough, I can understand the issues with people cheating but if its between friends ONLY and NOT ranked then where is the problem?

PES2010 is a great product to build on in my opinion – its the best its been for years. Just use the next 12 months to update the simple things, improve online, add ML between friends option online, improve animations, increase performance, increase frame rate and give us an option to turn off stupid Pringels adverts!
