PES 2010 Response Issues Feedback
Re: PES 2010 Response Issues Feedback
i find it a little bit embarrasing that people are trying make out the response times are implemented on purpose by konami and somehow makesthe game realistic. thats just desperate.the game isn't as bad as people are making out, its more realistc then last year the al has improved but quite often the cpu will crowd ut one area of the pitch leaving about three players in loads of space on the otherside of the pitch. or when you put acrcoss and your behind the defence they quite often leave a massive gap in the middle of the box for the fowards to run into

Speeds the same everythings just tighter and more finetuned plus you dont have players sticking on through balls like they do on the demo on ocassion plus the theres less of a delay as its more optimised code,no penalties yet though which is strange.
Its just smoother and more responsive and less glitchy plus the graphics are more polished on the ps3 then the demo although the demos still good.

Believe what you like your see in 4 weeks time, whats the matter your life so empty you have to try and discredit me.........or is it you lack any gaming skill that you cant see how good pes2010 is like the rest of you wingers that dont understand about game development and the difference from a beta demo to the finished game which is perfect!!!!!!!!!!!
Pes on the ps2 was ok but it had flaws and no real defensive side to the the gameplay now we finally have a defence and less time on the ball everyones complaining.........

hmm... so its my life that is empty? Why would you go out of your way to lie to everyone about a game so many are looking forward to? You just said days ago that there is practically no difference between demo and final code. Now you say otherwise. You are just paraphrasing what Adam said you numpty! You have not played any other code besides that which I have. You can lie to the kids son, but not a grown man.

Dopecoil pipe down for goodness sake!
No one on here cares about what background you say you have within the gaming industry!
Us 'wingers' as you put it are taking part in a debate to make PES even better, alot of us are having issues with the demo and like Adam requested we are giving our impressions of the game.
PES on the PS2 was the best football simlation ever to be had on a console, i think all of us on here know that.
It's high time yoyu grew up mate. This is a forum....expect people to have a different opinion to yourself!

winging on heres not going to make any difference the games finished its to late to make any changes now however much you complain.
as for pes5/6 being the best football games ever made get real, perfect striker 3 on the ps2 leaves it at the lights and thankfully konami have finally married this great series with pes.
i hate to break it to you but pes2010 is better then any pes on the ps2 and ive worked on five of them and iss before pes.

Re: PES 2010 Response Issues Feedback
I take it all back!!! It plays just amazingly well!!!
Just yesterday i was struggling to 1-0 wins even on regular (normally a top player person!)... Today just pummelled Germany as Spain... 8-0
That's with the time patch added on!
Whilst i think the response times need to be tweaked a fair bit before release (as Adam has said they have!), the game itself doesn't suffer as badly as i first thought. You have to approach the game differently... almost like you're playing against a mate, little clever balls through the middle, use the wings, back in again etc etc. One dimensional play is gone, that's for sure... none of this PES 6 style run it down the wing, cross, goal...we've now got to think smarter!
I think Adam was right when he said PES and Fifa are going to be great for different reasons. I'm finally seeing this now!

Sure you have, and im just about to go feed my unicorn in the back garden!
Listen i have no problem that you think that this is the best PES ever, im happy for you! but the thing is alot of us are not and we are highlighting the areas we think the demo needs improving.
Even if it's too late for the game to change we are at least letting Konami know where PES needs to improve on and that my friend is important to alot of us PES fans!

Having said all that, i still love PES 6
But this is a different style of game. Doesn't quite have the level of close dribbling or pinpoint shooting as in PES 6, but i feel that overall, it makes you work a lot harder for your goals. I'm having varying moods about this game, sometimes i hate it, sometimes i love it. I'll try some more on Top player again later on, but it's 3am here and i need some sleep

Re: PES 2010 Response Issues Feedback
I have been a long time fan of PES and the WENB team for sometime now, and eventually decided to sign up and vent my anger at all the doom mongers complaining about the current PES 2010 demo.
First things first, people have to remember that a demo is a demo. and it isnt 100% complete.
I have read numerous comments on the boards about response issues and pace of gameplay, and i would just like to add my opinions. When i first played the demo i like many was sceptical of what i had read and heard. First impression was this is brilliant, graphics, spot on and gameplay much better than previous PES installments. Yes, i have had a few minor problems with through balls and shooting which was quite annoying, but it didnt detract from the overall enjoyment and realism of the match.
Now to the so called solutions of the slow response issues. First off i would like to say, for me it depends on the animations, if the ball is in the air or a couple of feet in front while running then surely you would expect to have to wait to catch up with the ball before making desired contact.
This 720p 1080i/p issue, im not so sure about, i went from 1080i to 720p and the only difference i noticed was graphics and speed of play(only very slight)
Now, what i would like to say is, has anyone tried changing the cursor settings under player controls. I totally forgot after first few games that it would be on assisted which i hate, so changed to semi - assisted. And for me this option seems to make animations and response alot better than before. Just remember this is my opinion and seems to work for me, so whether it works for other people is to be seen.
Overall i love the way PES 2010 is turning out and look forward to more news from the WENB team.

Most absurd 'sentence' ever. You are not a PES fan if you don't rate the PS2 games. And you most certainly did not work on them, hahaha! You sound like you need help mate, seriously...and with the tone of your writing you'd fit in well in a fundamentalist Christian religion somewhere... Assville, USA perhaps?
Oh yeah, I'm just 'winging' in your eyes. I should stop that.

Pes2010 is a 720p game when you play it in 1080i or 1080p it is being upscaled, there is no difference in the speed of the game when you change the resolution or are there any response issues its a more refined timing system that allows you to half volley or time your hitting point.
All this nonsense about the game having no response issues in a different resolution is in peoples minds, theres no frame rate issues like a pc game whereby if you lower the settings the game is smoother.
Why not just try to enjoy the demo thats the reason konami realeased it early as a statement of intent, this is far from the finished product i know because i have played the lastest code.Even with its faults its still a highly playable demo just enjoy it.
Dopecoil I cant speak for everyone but when I change from 1080i to 720p the game does speed up, i should know as its me thats playing it.
I played on 1080i from release untill last night so i have a pretty good idea as to the difference i felt when i switched it.
Im not the only one who has experienced this by the general posts in this thread.
I don't think it can be denied that there is a change in speed and response on lower resolution. Switching back and forth between the two makes the difference blatantly obvious. Personally I like it much, much better on "720p speed" but I still find that there are some things about the game which need polishing. Mainly, the tackling/collisions are the problem for me, anyway. Loving the game, though, don't get me wrong; it's just that this years demo is, IMO, much less the finished article than the last 2-3 demos I've played, including PES 08 and 09. I'm hoping Dopecoil is wrong, and the finished code is much better - not because I think it's bad how it is, but because they are very close IMO to having a real spot on masterpiece. Maybe if we're lucky they will delay the release date to put a bit more spit and polish on it...

Re: PES 2010 Response Issues Feedback
Pes 2010, is without hesitation the best game ever done till today. I am 37 years old and have seen quite a few games before this one, finally we've got something in our hands we all have been waiting for. I cannot believe that so many are trying to get pes 2009 (speed wise) with nice graphics.....un be lie va ble....well...all I can say...among stupid fights and unnecesary discussions...don't like it ?...well...go to the first touch response of Fifa...let's see for how long you've got a smile on your face...
Meanwhile...respect, I choose pes....take your time and get into it..you will know why...just do not ruin it all with 720ps or whatever...no need more speed....need something to feel the beautiful game...
Greetings from London to all...

Re: PES 2010 Response Issues Feedback
What really annoys me is that
1. The response times are turning into what really annoyed me about older FIFA games - very slow
2. That they cannot just use these graphics on PES 5 or 6 and make it better.
3. With reaction times so bad, how does the whistle still manage to blow between when the ball crosses the goal line, and when it hits the back of the net?
I just can't believe this game has been in development for more than a year, what have they been doing? They keep trying to add fancy new crap before they recapture the basics from the past...
I hope this demo is nowhere near the full version or else it is unfortunately back to FIFA for me again.
