visually the game looks ace... some animations aren't right hopefully they'll get some new crossing and running animations in by the time of release.. great to see the imaginary wall disappear for throw ins... i'm going to go on about kits again coz 3rd kits must be added (just one question though in the PSM3 article a few months ago barca were in their greenish/yellow kit and now they are in the new orange kit, have they replaced the kit or are they going to have both in the game).... also once gari gets back he and adam can address a lot of our concerns...

You could def. see the new animations. I passed the ball from Xavi to Gudjohnsen in the midfield. Gudjohnsen really had to put some work in it, to control the ball xavi send him. Very nice animation! :)

I didn't like the very very slow GK animation during a goal kick. please fix that konami because it looks stupid!

That´s good news mate... Did you know something about the online mode?
On playing PES did you feel like...the more you played the more you wanted to play?

I don't know anything about online. But John Murphy told me himself that online will improve this year. I said to him that I couldn't play a decent game online with both pes2008 and pes2009. He promised me it will be better this year.

I said it yesterday in this topic. The more games I played, to more I loved it! Just like the old days. :-)

Ok, after watching this video:

I have to add a bit to my criticism. First of all, the goal that Gerrard scores in the beginning is a joke. The goalkeeper should have easily extended his arm and prevented the shot from going in. Instead he reacts too slow and the goal is conceded.

Second of all, Henry's foul on Gerrard a little bit later, is not a foul! He tackles Gerrard but he tackles the ball first, and this is not a foul according to football rules Konami! It's something that's been a gripe of mine for PES lately, they should let the game be a slightly bit more physical. Not every tackle is a foul you know.

HAS THIS VIDEO BEEN SEEN YET ?

HOLY MOLY !

Er... video shot up close...
the game looks 50 times better up close !
Look at the difference in the quality of the animation on this video compared to the ones shooting a wide cam screen !
Running beautifully !

I always hated the wide cam, i always loved the original view, with the tilt set to 9
or failing that ... Broadcast cam 1
Wide cam makes the pitch look too vast and you lost all the nuance in the animation and detail i think and it just doesn't look realistic. These players seem to be trying to play with the analogue stick, because the movement is a LOT less " on rails " in my personal opinion, tho of course i could be wrong.

P.S.

Sorry to sound like such a n00b, but can somebody please explain to me how i can paste a youtube link so that it shows as a video screen that yo ucan watch on the thread, instead of a link to YouTube? Sorry if it's such a simple thing to do :?

surely the code can't be that old because it has zlatan at barca? unless they just edited the squads for gamescom.

Seen this in 2009 , cpu player on the ball knocks it a yard in front of himself , I slide my player in across the front ( not from behind or an angle from slighty behind ) and knock the ball away with his out streached leg, second later the cpu player stumbles across my players other trailing leg that's almost bend back on its self.

I played and replayed the video , when my players leg played the ball away , his leg(s) and body were at least a yard in front of the cpu player. Could be do with Clipping is that what its called ? or a field round each player.

The close up video from Gamescom is the best football graphics I have ever seen. The players look individually 3-D charecters. As Adam and Suff have said its gone from worst next gen graphics to probably the best . Cant wait to get it on my 42 inch viera.

Cant wait

Can anyone tell me , does the game still have Clipping.

In PES2009 I was wondering why CPU players would beat my player(s) to header the ball away when they were directly behind them.

I caught it on video , my player standing tall chest out ready to control the ball on his chest but its headed away. The reason became clear when I replayed it , as the ball comes down to chest height and my player is about to control it, the CPU players head appears THROUGH my players chest and heads the ball away :o

Long time reader, first time poster. Just wanted to say that everything I've seen this year is a massive improvement from the previous two years. Just noticed from the videos at gamescom that the clock still stops when the ball is out of play. This has always been a minor annoyance for me, will this be changed or at least an option to have a continuous running clock. Keep up the good work Konami!

don't know but i think he knows that the ps3 gamescom code is behind the xbox360/pc gamescom code.

If we see/feel it, why shouldn't he?
