The Soundtrack of Your Life
The idea is simple.
Pick 10 songs that you want to feature on The Soundtrack To Your Life . They can be songs of great memories, sad times, special events or simply songs that have just stuck with you.
You can leave a message beside the song to state the reasoning behind the choosing.
I'll go first:
1) Chris Rea - Tell Me There's A Heaven .....(First memory of a song)
2) Crash Test Dummies - Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm .....(Reminds me of childhood holidays)
3) Aztec Camera - Somewhere In My Heart .....(Going to the swimming pool with brother and dad)
4) Elvis Presley - Suspicious Minds .....(Same as above)
5) Bruce Springsteen - Waitin' on a Sunny Day .....(Wonderful holiday in Mallorca)
6) Two Gallants - Steady Rollin' .....(It just got me first I heard it)
7) The Foundations - Build Me Up Buttercup .....(Reminds me of younger brother)
8) Luciano Pavarotti - O Holy Night .....(Christmas memories)
9) Ray LaMontagne - Trouble .....(Perhaps my favourite ever song)
10) Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here .....(Will always remind me of my cousin and best friend who died this summer)

Re: The Soundtrack of Your Life
Nice idea Sean. I'll pick out afew songs but I'm not really going to go into detail as to why I chose them.
1. I Want To Hold Your Hand- The Beatles ( I remember hearing it one sunday when I was 5, my first musical memory)
2. Simple Man- Lynyrd Skynyrd (song was in my favourite episode of my favourite show - My Name Is Earl)
3. Hurt- NIN
4. Freebird- Lynyrd Skynyrd (not a massive fan of the band, its just this song is poignant)
5. In The Garage- Weezer (could have been anything off The Blue Album, my favourite album and I've good memories
6. Off He Goes- Pearl Jam (for people who I'll never get to see again)
7. Love Will Tear Us Apart- Joy Division (probably my favourite song ever)
8. Footsteps- Pearl Jam (favourite PJ song)
9. Feeling Good- Muse (I remember seeing them performing this live in the pouring rain about 8 years ago, just brilliant)
10.One- Metallica
Probably haven't put sufficient thought into this list, oh well!

1- Baby Jane - Rod Stewart (Reminds me of driving in my dads van with him when i was young)
2- Heaven - Dj Sammy (First time i got drunk, the things that happened that night)
3- 2000 Miles - Pretenders (One christmas, home from work, nobody home, sat in front of open fire with my dog on my lap and just stared into it, never felt so peaceful )
4- The River - Bruce Springsteen (My first song to play on cd player one xmas, turned out to be one of my favorite of all time)
5- Jump Around - House of Pain (Reminds when i was in england when i was young)
6- Love me for a Reason - Boyzone (gay song but my most nostalgic, reminds me of one day when i was home sick from school watching mr bean)
7- Logical Song - Scooter ( Reminds me of my teenage days when i had my Nokia 3210, playing snake in the rain with a friend, texting girls)
8- My Lovely Horse - Father Ted (One of the funniest things in my life, have it on my youtube page and it makes me laugh every single day)
9- Love Generation - Bob Sinclair (Reminds me of driving to college on a sunny day with my pals, priceless)
10- Lukes Hymn - King Tut (Reminds of driving home from my first arsenal game in blackburn, on the bus, looking out at the lights of the city and feeling very sad for some reason)
Bonus CD:
1- Hung my head - Johnny Cash (Reminds me of a typical autumn evening, smell of smoky chimneys, getting dark, champions lge almost on, lying on my bed listening to this)
2- I'll Fly With You - Gigi Agostini (Reminds of walking home from school in autumn)
3- Father and Son - Ronan Keating and Cat Stevens (Coming home from xmas shopping on year with my bros and dad, priceless)
4 True Colors - Cindi Lauper ( A few things, but one being telling this girl i was going on the same holiday as her, staying in the same hotel, in the same week, she believed me, very unexpectingly, so i played along with it for a few weeks, then i told her i was only messing, she wasnt happy, oh the younger days)
