PES 2012 Wish-lists: Commentators

I think we need a revamp on this department. You notice that Beglin jumps before Champion saying "ohh noo" who would you like too see new or improved. Personally i will go for Guy Mowbray from MOTD

The actuall commentators has never been the problem but it's what and when they say things. Changing the commentators will cause them to start from scratch. The fact that the commentating is never in the demos shows how much of a last minute job it always is. It has been 1 years and we have had hardly any improvement on commentating.

I'd like to see Paul Visca as a commentator in PES. He's fantastic

But realistically, sit Jon and Jim down in front of a big screen with 2 people playing PES and get them to commentate on it. Pick out the best moments and Bang! You've got commentary. Either that or let the two of them improvise, allow for a little banter between the two.

konami should make a conteast for the fans, wich would be. who would write the best PES 2012 Commentary script.
first give us an example of how a script of that kind should be and let us (loyal fans) work our magic.

I think one of the major problems with the commentator is that it never really feels like they are sitting next to each other, I would like a bit more interaction between them, Like jon talking about old traford and then asking jim what it was like going there etc.

Get in voice actors. Please.
People who can vocalise emotion realistically. it would be cheaper. and sound authentic.
I would also recommend having 3 commentators. ie. (but please dont) john champion + mark or jim.
and pending which competition you were in you would have either jon and mark, or john and jim.

i think this would offer a very fresh approach to commentary.

get rid of who ever translates/writes your scripts.
they do NOT make sense. "he couldn't hit a barn door, let alone the corner flag". what the hell does this mean? its awful. unrealistic, and thus slaps the player in the face, pulling them 'out' of the experience.
I'm sick of hearing the commentator saying "he's hit the ball over the top".... after I've passed it along the floor...every time he says "...over the top" I've passed it along the floor...

fire john and co.
hire real voice actors.
fire your translator/scripter
hire a real writer who speaks English as a first language and has watched more than one game of football with English commentary.

i will do all of the above for half the price konami!

why dont we have the ability to chose the commentary language ?

i like to hear un understandable language its cool and thrilling and i would like to chose the language , Russian , italian

I think Konami have always had it spot on with John Kabira in the Winning Eleven series:


I dont have a clue what he is saying but I can sense his passion and excitement. Konami need to replicate this in the PES series.

for champion and beglin they aren't the problem
they should watch a match on pes 2011 and comment without script
they also should include stat and history more in the game
i want it to be fresh as possible
let them take and comment at the same time not one alone then put them togetter

Kevin Keatings from La Liga on Sky is the best UK commentator I think, would love to have him in PES. Think he'd sound great as he is always enthusiastic and get's really into the games.

I'd like to see (or hear, rather) Efan Ekoku and/or Steve Banyard... I've always really enjoyed listening to both commentate EPL matches.

Another good team, especially for champs league games. they were both in fifa a while back though (ultimate team) so not sure if it could be done

and even let him read the names of a lot more teams, leagues and stadiums

I think we definitely need to tell konami we need new commentators. I I'm sure majority agree. Maybe we can have a poll or something and find the most popular ones amongst pes fans.
