This is what i would like to see in edit mode for PES 2012.
Firstly Konami need to retain all current elements and not remove anything. Actually one thing I would remove or change is the current selection of haircuts, the ones carried forward from PES 2010 are awful. They added some new one’s this year and this is the sort of standard they should continue with.
(Some of the list is bring things back from Classic PES’s, will be mark CP)
Player Editing:
• Accessories: Neck warmers (CP), short socks (CP), tight & baggy fit shirts for all teams (CP), 3 quarter shirt sleeves, bandages (hand & knees), different designed goalkeeper gloves.
• Appearance: Ability to use preset faces (CP), Ability to use preset/special haircuts (CP), Ability to edit facial hair on Preset faces (CP), Better quality of facial hair, ability to change eye colour of preset faces (CP), ability to edit generic faces without having to use a default face (CP), choice to have collars turned up - (wow! We used to have it so good!)
Kit Editing:
• Shirts: Better quality of numbers (CP), edit logo on shorts (CP), logos on socks, Increased Kit, shorts & socks Templates in line with current season, Team names on back of shirts (CP), 2nd Goalkeeper shirt (CP), Increase collar options e.g. Puma cuts in round collar or buttons or laced.
Boot Editor:
• Simply bring back a Boot editor with decent templates to make branded boots (CP)
Stadium Editor: Superb addition Konami!
• Increase number of stands, ensuring they can replicate real stadiums, ability to design/build your own stands e.g. terraces row, executive boxes and roofs, ability to make a round stadium, Make sure all stands can be used on all sides, select light direction in day time matches, ability to change distance from pitch e.g. close English style or distance European, Add screens & score boards (it’s all a bit 1980 at the moment), In general bring the templates up to date.
League Edit
• Ability to select leagues, without European Competitions but with domestic cup (CP), Ability to select where finals will be played for Domestic cup, Option to select a group of teams to play in a 2nd Division for non Master League Leagues.

In the visual aspects of the game, even though they are little details this is what I would like:

- When the shirts are not tucked in they look like they were stuck to the shorts, something that didn't actually happen in the PS2 games, even though with a lot less detail. They should look a little more loose.
- I actually liked when you could choose smaller socks for the players. PES used to do it in previous versions of the game, they should keep that option available, and I would even add even smaller socks, like the way Platini used to wear them, or as small as they appear in the trainning option.
- In real life players use different lengths for taping around the ankles, different options should be available, like Cristiano Ronaldo, Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto'o or Steven Gerrard.
- To be able to mix the home uniforms with the away uniforms, that used to be an option in a past PES.
- To be able to give players the hair style or beard from another preset face in the edit mode.

Even though these are small details these kind of things will make players look different from each other and this way help to make a little bit more realistic.

Higher definition textures.

Unlimited slots.

Basically more kit edit options- these don't need to be listed by anyone as Konami has had them before and should redo what they've taken out and add more to it.

MOST importantly UPDATE the actual implementation of more options. In this day and age when every person seems to own a pirated version of Photoshop or Corel Draw, please please please Konami, update your edit tools- they are still so clunky. See Mod Nation racers et al. as a simple, yet comprehensive and effective way of implementing shapes etc.....

1) Stadium editor is great in principal, poor in execution. A lot more options needed for stands, boardings, etc
2) Get rid of all the stupid animal heads etc, i want to play football not play with a sweet or barrel
3) Nets need editing options
4) More options for the pitch itself
5) Created boots
6) Managers and coaches wearing coats, jackets etc which can be edited
7) Scarfs, flags etc for the fans
8) Gloves for keepers, snoods, thermal tops, cycling shorts etc. All should be editable

PES has led the way in edting for years but since PES 2008 they have removed features and failed to add obvious ones for no reason whatsoever. Here is my very comprehensive list of what I'd like to see in PES 2012.

Boots
For football boots we have the following big time manufactures
Adidas
F50 Adizero - 8 colours for 2011

Predators - 8 colours for 2011

Adipure - 3 colours for 2011

World Cup - 1 colour

Nike

Mercurial Vapour - 5 colurs for 2011 including Ronaldo's puke boots

T90 - 3 colours for 2011

Tiempo Legend - 2 colours for 2011

NIke CTR360 - 1 colours for 2011

Puma

v.1.10 - 3/4 colours for 2011

Powercat - 3 colours for 2011

Puma King - 1 colour for 2011

Umbro

Stealth - 2 colours for 2011

GT - 3 colours for 2011

Speciali - 4 colurs for 2011 although there are two different variations of the boot that John Terry wears to the one that Joe Hart wears.

Mizuno

Supersonic - 1 colour for 2011

Wave Ignitus - 3 colours

Wave Cup - 1 colour for 2011

Morelia - 2 colurs but variation in style for two of the white coloured boots

Lotto

Zhero Gravity Ultra - 3 colours

Fuerzapura - 2 colours but slight variations on both the black and white colours

Stadio - 2 colours for 2011

Joma

Total fit - 2 colours for 2011

Granada - 2 colours for 2011

Hummel

Old school star - 1 colour for 2011

Thats 20 + models of boot from 8 manufactuers what I can't understand is why we can't either have all of these boots in their 2012 counterparts if there is no boot editor.

If slots are an issue with a boots and a boot editor why can we not have the variations of one model of boot on the same slot surely that cannot be too difficult to implement this.

The return of the boot editor would be welcome and you could have the normal layer variations like in the previous editors but maybe it could be expanded to include type of boot i.e Speed(Mercurial or F50 type), Control(Adipure or T90 type), Power(CTR360 type), Heritage(World Cups, Puma King, Tiempo, Hummel type)

Tape

It would be good to have the variation in ankle tape that different startsd use

So standard
Image

Ankle tape with sock
Image

Shinpad tape
Image

so in a nut shell it will be three types of tape.

Shorts

The shorts are well animated this time around all I'd like to see is the inclusion of short shorts for classic teams like below

Image

Image

Socks

Why oh why did Konami remove the three sock options in PES I would like to see the return of short socks as Veron, Hleb and Totti are but a few that wear their socks this way.

- Bring back the option of a 3rd/European kit.

- The option to alternate shorts & socks between kits to avoid kit clashes.

- Aswell as providing the usual kit templates (which could be added to greatly) I would also like the option to have more layers to choose from to create fuller kits with extra details, or even seperating kits into more parts i.e.
Torso
Sleeves (L, R or both)
Collar (various collar types and layers - round-neck, v-neck, puma 'star', button collar, zip etc)
Cuffs

- Bring back lettering & numbering with outlines

- Ability to put sponsors on rear of jerseys

- Ability to put logos/badges/sponsors on shorts & socks

- Different fits of shirts (tight, normal, loose)

- Shorts lengths

- Along with the usual kit editor, come to agreements with sportswear companies to use their teamwear kits where they are of a high standard (mesh, patterns, stitching etc.) and allow colours to be changed to suit edited teams.

- Ability to create manager for your team (edit as you would for a player but choose suit, tracksuit, jacket, design club tie etc.)

- edit Benchwear, subsuits, vests etc

GET RID OF SILLY HEADS, HAIRSTYLES, BALLS (SWEETIES, BARRELS etc)!! Whats the point?!?!?

Edit mode is a massive part of what makes PES stand out from fifa so why half-ass it. Konami should make it as in-depth as they can as it keeps things like the masterleague fun and interesting.

This Continues from my earlier post.

Shirt Sleeves

Maybe I am being too detialed but it would be nice to see three types of sleeve selection

Short

Long

Rolled

Image

Image

Third kits and 2nd GK kits
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE include third kit options for all licensed teams that have them and the option to create them for all editable teams. Make this the same for the GK kits as I am sick of the colour clashes it makes no sense and in some cases the colour clash is with the GKs own teams kit.

Accessories

Snoodes

Goalkeeper gloves

I have been banging on about this for PES 2010 & PES 2011, it's bizarre that a game that prides itself on realism has keepers all wearing black GK gloves. To my surprise when I booted up FIFA 11 there is was licensed GK gloves.

If there was a GK glove editor alongside licensed gloves it would be awesome(for me anyway).

In terms of gloves we have the following manufactuers

Nike

Spyne - 1 colour

Confidence - 1 colour

Premier - 1colour

Theses all look exactly the same so you could just have the one pair of gloves.

Sells

Uhlsport

Adidas

Puma

Reusch

Lotto

Reebok

Umbro

Selsport

Amongst the different brands most colours are white apart from the gloves Cech, Reina and Julio Ceaser wear. If their was a glove editor it could be the same principle as a boot editor.

You could have base colour for glove.

Detailing for fingers and thumbs

Logo Tophand/Palm

Palm colour

Strap colour

In terms of kits I think Konamis should ahve the templates for the bigger manufactuers Adidas, Nike, Umbro, Puma and gives us the ability to create the rest PERFECTLY including detialing.

Hairstyles

Continued

I'd love to do an Italia 90 option file but often there are not authentic retro hairstyles so just the inclusion of the Waddle Mullet below

Image

Now that looks awesome in full flight.

80/90s Perm ala Voller

Image

Apart form that I'd like to see better quality picture import intergration as well as the ability to add beards to those photos.

In terms of created players why not just have them all in there so that they can be created because in the past when Germany were not licensed most of their players could be created along with Hollands as well because I take it the system Konami use is just like a scanner.

If Konami took a fan approach like Sports Interactive and got fan representives to provide you with photo's etc it would be easy.

Stadium Editor

Again pretty much what most people have said in terms of the ability to create more modern stadiums like Emirates or Allianz. I also think the capacity should be choosable as the closet stadium I created to the Emirates the stadium announcer says the gat was 30,000.

We should able to asign created stadiums to licensed teams.

That's it form me :D

Players appearance-

Neckwarmers, low socks, ability to change colour of outfield players gloves. Add 3rd kits to teams AND 2 GK kits (too many times an outfield player kit clashes with the GK of the opponent.)

  • This borderline comes between me and my sleep. STOP PUTTING EVERYTHING IN CAPTIALS. Please :D
  • The ability to give players, with created faces, beards. Not overly important but again, you used to be able to do that

    More blank teams with:
  • Ability to select country of league
  • Ability to select rival clubs within this league
  • Ability to select if the league is a lower league of another league that's in-game

Absolutely agreed with you and hope Konami take these suggestion into serious consideration before releasing PES 2012.

I would also like the Commentator to call the names of clubs on PES League and created teams on PES 2012. Allow Edited and Created Stadiums on PES to display the names of clubs assign to them as Home Ground during matches.

When in edit mode, yo uwant to edit a player's face...

Please KEEP the one that is already there, so we can use THAT one as a starting point. Every time i want to make a player's face, it reverts to that rubbish default player that looks like no-one on planet earth.
Sometimes the editable faces of certain players are usually pretty close already to what we want, but everything resets to the "default" face ( even if you change the skin colour the face still represents a white man ).

It's a little thing i know, but really irritating !

Better selection of beards please ! All the beards only ever look like stubble, even when set to level 4 thickness ! Please allow for bushy beards :P
Also, if one want's to import a PNG of thier own face, PLEASE allow us to put a beard on it ! My face is quite hairy so i can never make me in the game and i cannot be an armchair hero for my chosen team ! :P

Maybe arm/neck tattoos ?

OH!, in face edit, please allow for bent/broken noses. Sriusly, because a lot of real life players cannot be accurately made in PES, purely because you can never get the nose correct. A lot of footballer's have had thier nose banged once or twice and many have odd, bent, buckled noses that would REALLY make them look true to life if we can have thta particular option added to NOSE EDIT. :)

- Shorts logo
- socks logo
- greater number of templates
- no limit on emblems
- Broader range of fonts that approximate official fonts (like how the old prem font was in the PS2 games)
- licensed kit templates (e.g. allow for editable, blank addidas/Nike kits...allows for more authentic kits)
- allow for mix and match of shorts/socks/shirts prior to kick off
- open kit editing on PS3 (similar to PC)

In the same way these exports save graphic data, the team data export could save the logo and kits along with the other data such as team name, abbreviation and crowd chants.

Why stop there... what about an export/import system that lists multiple teams data? When importing we could simply pick from the list of what we want to take. This of course leads to the most important note - the ability to import/export entire option files from a single file, rather than the current tedious task of around 100 files one by one.

Other than that, I'd like to see the limits for the amount of badges and kits increased, and the ability to create new teams and leagues from scratch.

I absolutely agreed with you, these are basic features we expect from Konami and the PES team on Pro Evolution Soccer. Why can't copy the option files at ones instead of suffering with 335 files one by one? That is slavery.

We need an editing mode to create your own Team and League on PES 2012 as a Default and let any Stadium you used as your Home Ground display the name of your Team during home matches. When creating your own team on PES 2012, allow Users to choose Clubs Commentary names the Audio Commentators can pronounce during matches just like what FIFA 11 did on Creation Centre.
