Looking forward to Skyfall with Sam Mendes at the helm. Not too sure how Moneypenny, Q and the more traditional aspects of Bond-lore will fit in with this 'post-Bourne' James Bond franchise, but I'm certain it will be more po-faced and "Spooks" type of interactions (i.e. a support network for Bond) rather than the classic "Now listen here Bond", etc.
Beyond Daniel Craig there's loose talk of Michael Fasbender talking up the role, on the back of his Connery-esque performance in X-Men First Class. I could definitely see him as Bond but from an actors point of view I'm not so sure. An actor is always going to be labelled as James Bond and its hard to escape the role IMO. Fassbender could be one of the acting greats depending on his choices, and without wishing to sound snobbish, I would think Bond would taint him somehow. I don't know I could be wide of the mark.
Directing-wise I would think the Bond producers would be absolutely mad not to get Chris Nolan in as director. Hell, even offer him a trilogy of Bond movies to tell a great story with a new Bond. Nolan is a self-confessed Bond fan and went on record after (or before?) the release of the Dark Knight to say he would love to direct a Bond movie one day. He said in an interview last year that the Inception scene in the snowy mountains was inspired by the classic Bond movies.
Imagine Nolan's story-telling prowess plus Michael Fassbender's acting talents!!!
