Currently backing up my HDD...Going to take a while

It's always a good idea to back up your HDD done it recently.

New laptop is awesome. PES plays so smoothly on high settings etc. The only thing that's a worry is how hot it gets when playing games. May have to get a cooling pad.

I suggest pouring water in the vents when it gets hot or you could by a cooling pad but I'd go with the water

just seen this.

It doesn't get really hot but a bit to warm for my liking.

Finally sorted the rattling noise coming from my PC. Could've fixed it weeks ago, as i had a fair idea what was causing it but I was too lazy

The HD Audio wire was slightly touching the fan of my PSU. Just moved the wire in question away from the fan

Anyone ever had a problem with some icons (win7) not showing up? Because it does it for me sometimes.

Like being replace with a weird one? The same one as when the program is removed?

Yeah happens me the odd time.

Is the program gone?

No it's still there, i can use it perfectly. Just the odd thing with the icon.
When i reinstall the program it will show up again, but i don't want to do it all the time.
Been searching the web for the last few minutes but found nothing that works in my case.

I generally go to change icon in properties and it usually works. The problem is that its looked to your taskbar which might prevent it working

unpin the icon uninstall the program make sure the folder is fully gone sometimes they leave a folder behind with a file in it then reinstall. If that doesn't work pour water on it

I know that reinstalling solves it, but was hoping for an easy and instant fix. Thanks anyway.
Will try that with the water now...

Hello there!

Decided to dig out my PC as me and a friend want to download Battlefield 2 with the project reality mod. Just a quick question, I thought my PC was broke because it didn't start (obvious really) but I've managed to start it with some problems..
Problem being grey lines on startup in the background but when booted up you can see faint red lines when on a black screen, is this a problem with GFX card and/or video card or something else?


(I know nothing about cards,processors or the internal works of a PC which is why I ask for help)

Very much doubt it but I don't even know what graphics cards I have to update them..

On the start menu search for "Device Manager", open it, then look under Display adapters. Should say your card in there

Updated my driver and looks as if its working, will report back if any problems.
