Bloody hell..

A Swedish professor who sliced off and ate his wife's lower lip after he suspected her of having an affair has been formally charged with aggravated assault.
Prosecutors say the unnamed 52-year-old flew into a rage in May after his wife asked for a divorce, according to Swedish news site The Local.

The researcher at Stockholm's Karolinska Institute allegedly told his wife after the attack he wanted to inflict a lifetime of pain on her.

"He did it so that she would never be able to kiss again and said 'I'll get four years, but you're getting a life sentence'," prosecutor Jakob Holmberg told the TT news agency.

The minimum sentence in Sweden for aggravated assault is four years, but prosecutors will be asking for jail time closer to the maximum 10 years.

Originally charged with attempted murder, prosecutors downgraded the charges after it was found the man stayed with his wife until an ambulance arrived

WARNING DISTURBING FOOTAGE.

A live cat was found half-buried in concrete in Arizona, an act that the man who rescued it believes to be a threatening message from a pro-polygamy religious group, according to local reports.

The kitten was found encased in solid concrete inside a metal tube in Colorado City, Ariz., a major center for the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a breakaway Mormon sect whose members practice polygamy.
In previous incidents, dead cats have been left on ex-FLDS member Isaac Wyler’s property, according to Andrew Chatwin, who discovered the trapped feline while he was building a horse shelter at Wyler’s home.

“It’s been going on for years,” Chatwin, also a former FLDS member, told the video site Right This Minute, “and I’ve recorded up to a dozen dead cats put into his horse corral. I’ve recorded dead animals put into his truck.”
In a video, shot by Chatwin on May 31 and posted to YouTube on July 1, the cat is seen buried up to its head in concrete, crying out in pain. Chatwin said he had to cut through the metal tube and is then seen chipping away bits of concrete around the animal’s body with a hammer.
Mangled and emaciated but still breathing, the freed feline was taken to an animal sanctuary in Kanab, Utah, where it died a few days later.
Both Wyler and Chatwin have spoken publicly against the church and its former controversial leader, Warren Jeffs.
Jeffs was convicted last year of two felony counts for sexually assaulting two underage girls he had married. He is currently serving a life sentence plus 20 years at a prison in Palestine, Texas, but is said to still maintain control of the FLDS-run communities.
Chatwin, who has frequently been at odds with the church since leaving it 13 years ago, said he believes the act was done by FLDS members in an effort to force ex-church members out of town.
“We’ve in the past experienced a lot of hostility from the FLDS,” Chatwin said. “It was a message sent to Isaac Wyler to try and intimidate him.”
Chatwin said he reported the incident to the Colorado City Marshal’s Office.
“[The officer] kind of chuckled and laughed a bit, and then he said that if it was up to him, he’d just throw dirt over [the cat],” Chatwin said. “And this is coming from a city marshal that’s in the FLDS Church.”
Trish Carter, public information specialist at the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office told msnbc.com that her office was notified of the incident on May 31, but did not respond because it was under the jurisdiction of the Colorado City Marshal’s Office.
“We often investigate cases of animal cruelty, but they were in charge of it, so we didn’t respond,” Carter said.
The Sheriff's Office took over patrols in Colorado City last week from the Marshal's Office at the state's behest.
“Through the attorney general’s office, we now have partrols in the area, and anything that’s reported to our agency we are taking seriously,” Carter said.
Neither the FLDS or the Colorado City Marshal’s Office responded to inquiries from msnbc.com.
The incident occurred just weeks before the U.S. Justice Department sued Colorado City, Ariz., and Hildale, Utah, alleging religious discrimination against non-FLDS members, claiming the cities have been violating the federal Fair Housing Act, depriving non-sect members of their constitutional rights.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages for victims, fines against the towns and court orders prohibiting officials from harassing non-FLDS members, The Associated Press reported in late June.

Really are some sick sick people around, how could you even do that to a defenseless animal? Wish people who did stuff like this have it done back to them see how it feels, just because its an animal doesnt mean you can do stuff like that, things like this make my blood boil!

Nice read
A group of scientists placed 5 monkeys in a cage and in the center of the cage there's a ladder at the top of it there are some bananas.
Every time a monkey tried to climb up and take a banana, scientists sprayed the rest of the monkeys with cold water.
Soon after that, any monkey seen to take a banana, the remaining ban and beat him so as not to be sprayed with cold water.
After a period of time did not dare any monkey climb the ladder to take the bananas despite all the temptations because of fear of being beaten.

Scientists then decided to replace one of the five monkeys and put a new monkey instead. The first thing the new monkey did is to climb up the ladder to take bananas.
But immediately the remaining four beat him and force him to go down ..
After several times of beating ,the new monkey understands that he should not climb up the ladder even though he does not know why ?!
The scientists also switched another one.
And it suffered as the first monkey.Even the first alternative monkey did the same as his old colleges(beats the new monkey).

And so on until all the monkeys were reversed new top five monkeys.
Even now in the cage five monkeys did not sprinkle them with cold water, they never tried to climb up and take bananas. That was without beating any monkey tempted to climb the ladder and without knowing why!!!

If we assume .. And asked why monkeys beat the monkey who climbs up the ladder?
Sure answer would be: we do not know, but we found our fathers and grandfathers do so.
Practically that's what we do in our business and our daily lives.
Stay in the routine for fear of change!!!!!!!!

Thought this was a nice story...

An airline has been praised for holding a flight for a man rushing to get home to see his dying mother.

Kerry Drake knew his connection in Houston was tight but he had no other option if he wanted any chance of making it all the way to his family in Lubbock, Texas, in time.

But his hopes slimmed as the first leg of his 1,200-mile trip from San Francisco was delayed before he even took off.

The United Airlines jet made up some time en route but it became clear Mr Drake's mother could well have passed away before he managed to get home.

"I knew this itinerary was a risk," he told consumer advocate blogger Christopher Elliott.

"But I needed to get there as soon as possible, so I took the risk."

Obviously distraught, flight attendants brought him extra napkins to wipe away his tears and relayed his story to the captain.

When he arrived late in Houston, Mr Drake thought all was lost - but the airline had other ideas.

"As I was running up to the gate, the gate agent saw me coming and shouted, 'Mr Drake? We've been expecting you'," he said.

The pilot had radioed ahead to get the second United flight held for him.

"Had I missed my flight to Lubbock, I would not have been able to tell my mom goodbye," he said.

His mother died just hours after he got home.

Mr Drake wrote a letter to thank the airline staff who went out of their way to help him.

"Our employees really worked together that day to help this customer," United spokeswoman Megan McCarthy told CNN.
