WENB Community League Season 1 - CL

Are we going to be able to finish this league chaps ... the last time i looked half the league was very inactive ?

If all the active players finish playing against each other, ill chop some players who have been inactive and call it an end. But too early yet. I want to give the lads a weekend to see how they do first.

Ill be on tonight for sure. And if anyone is willing, i want to play a friendly in the Community to try and play with Dortmund. Give me a shout later tonight and we will give it a go. I tried a normal friendly as a quick match and it didnt work, but i could swear that we have the option to play with a Team Data Save in the community. Can anyone confirm it if they try it before me. Thanks. If so, i have an idea for a Community Season.

no mate you can't play with dortmund ,team save data is just for ML teams and they will have the default abilities

Ok, but if you play with ML Team Save Data, isn't the point to play with your ML Team as it is the last time you saved the Team Data?

Just had a cool game with 'mugore' & his Lille team. Very good dribbler with some nice touches in the middle of the park - alas, my strong defence and a quick breakaway goal led to my 1st victory. Saved a pen for good measure too...with the keepers feet! Was sweeeet, have to post a vid up later...

Hehe...see you declined to mention I beat your in our first game!
The two legs were a bit topsy turvy ( I beat you away then you beat me away)...seems our teams had the Leeds United syndrome (we struggled at home last season)...
Really enjoyed our games...both played some good passing football, with a few quick counters thrown in

Is it possible to have a league where some of us can have the same team ? I would want LFC but im sure there are one or 2 others that would like to use them aswell

Also on the next compertition can we ensure Barca/Madrid/Spain are not userable - or any other unbalanced teams
I dont mind playing against City United or even chelsea etc , but those top tier spanish team are really over-rated compared to the rest of the team selections

Ive just though ...an F.A cup comp would be an awesome idea ..... perhaps our team selections can be randomised in some way .....
But in any case lets try and keep it to the most active members (we should know who they are after a couple of weeks)

Amen to that, i got a hiding, felt helpless. Im sure there are formations and ways to play against them but i couldn't find it

I did win the second half 3-2 but was 3-0 down at half time

Maybe if i used the 2nd half strategy from the start i would have been ok.

played both my league games against barca yesterday got absolutely raped in the first game 6-0 same as Bravez went 3-0 down really quickly then found myself getting more and more frustrated at how quick every player on his team was compared to mine,however tried different tactics in the second game which proved successful in the 1st half went in 2-0 up,then held on until the 60th minute before fabregas struck to make it 2-1 after that it was one way traffic and ended up losing 2-3.Fully agree with PES Sonicraig about not including barca or madrid in the next league season.

it's making me angry thinking about it i had to turn the ps3 off after the game, i was trying so so hard to win especially when i was back to 4-3. When it was 4-3 it was about the 85th min and valdes made an immense save from a schweinstieger volley from about 7 yards i had square a bobbling ball to him but didn't take a touch just assumed it was a goal.

With regards to beating barca, I've only played one ranking quick match and I came up against barca (surprise).
I picked inter, conceded in the first 15 mins as I kept trying to track the movement of the attacking players...then I realised that is how they want you play so decided to be patient and just plug the gaps in my defence then tackle hard when I saw a clear cut chance.
When I had the ball I tried to keep hold of it instead of going for the quick counter (learned that the hard way when i conceded goal). Also kept forcing players wide to cross as they don't have any height up front...ended up winning 2-1
